Have a guilt-free Christmas in Bristol & rent some self storage

Posted December 9 2011 in Self Storage Centres

The holiday period is well under way, Christmas is just over 2 weeks away, and throughout the country final preparations are being made for the big day.  Some families will use the remaining time left before Santa makes an appearance to get all of the odd jobs done: clear out the spare room in preparation for guests arriving, make sure there is sufficient seating round the dining table, or just having a general tidy-up before the festivities.

Others will be looking to take advantage of visiting and taking part in the vast array of Christmas entertainment on offer in most UK towns and cities: Bristol is no different.  Bristol always manages to put on a show for the Christmas period and 2011 is set to be no exception.  Below is a (very brief) overview of the delights Bristol has to offer over the holiday period.

  • Winter Wonderland at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway has a whole host of exciting activities and events including Santa’s Magical Castle where you can visit the big red man himself, the South West’s largest indoor ice rink, and the traditional Christmas market makes a welcome return

  • Bristol Zoo’s Christmas events look set to be a magical affair too with carol singing, your chance to feed the reindeer (they do need to keep their strength up to pull Santa’s sleigh and all those presents!), Santa will be in his Grotto, as well as ice-sculpting demonstrations.

  • Santa is a very busy man in Bristol this year and is also making an appearance at The Galleries in Broadmead.

If you are in a dilemma due to the very tempting selection of exciting events on offer but really do need to make a start on preparing for guests and cooking the turkey, there is one very simple solution.  Use self storage.  By renting a self storage room, you will very quickly and easily be able to make some space for your guests to sleep, make sure you have enough seating, organise your home to ensure the festivities go off without any glitches.

Taking advantage of the services offered by a self storage operator will then leave you plenty of time to enjoy the Christmas events in and around Bristol: without the prospect of having to stay up until the small hours on Christmas morning.  Instead, you can enjoy a guilt-free glass of mulled wine and dig into the scrumptious selection of waffles and crepes on offer at Bristol’s Christmas market.
